moving through it

Following his accident, Jack "got on with it".
He didn't stop living even though his life was altered.

As an 18 month old, Jack was not aware of all the circumstances surrounding his accident,
or even of the possible outcomes of his accident.
Regardless, his happiness during recovery didn't depend on harboring bitterness,
or knowing how "successful" the surgery,
or even knowing when this "bandaging and careful-ing" would all be over.
Day after day, he moved on, not past it, but through it.

Words to describe Jack during recovery?
adaptable, resilient, cheerful, free of complaint, forgiving

Is this what it means to have "faith like a child"? (see Matthew 18)
so simple, uncluttered, and free
